Doofus Boy (see the contact/order page) broke a pressure-treated 4x4 with his collar. We made a new collar, but mostly so we could show the old one off, as it sustained no visible damage. Made from heavy harness leather or latigo with stainless steel hardware, and assembled with copper rivets, our 1" wide collars are only $7.50.
When we take Doofus Boy and The Brazen Husky to the vet we use short leather leashes, and often are asked where to buy them. 3/4" wide and approximately 2 feet long, our leashes are $7.50. Think that sounds too narrow to contain your beastie? All the pull to break that 4x4 went through a 3/4" wide strap holding a dee ring on Doofus Boy's collar.
Red lace, blue lace, green lace, white lace! The red lace looks particularly sharp against black on the pouches and covers. And best of all, fun with color doesn't add to the price. (The Brazen Husky must've eaten the blue . . . or something . . . )
Not cheap stamped tin bells on naugahyde, these are real cast brass bells, made for horse harness, on leather straps with our favorite leather lacing, and a solid brass ring that will fit over most doorknobs. 5-bell strips start at $50.
Let's see if we can describe these without a picture. . .
For the ladies, our Y-belts feature a Y-shaped plate in the center front, with a hanging "tail", similar to the effect with a tied belt. The Y-belt, however, bucles in the back. It looks better than it sounds, honest.
The simple version uses engraved stainless-steel hardware, and is $35.
The fancy version uses silver-plated hardware (which Lon even admits looks best with black!), with a large Y-plate and tip for the tail piece. All this pretty does come at a price - $90. But it's worth it, really!
As if we didn't have enough things to keep track of, Lon had to go and come up with a new style purse. A derivative of the round laced pouches shown on the third page of belt pouches, the round laced purse has a wider gusset and, as you might expect from a purse, a shoulder strap. The round laced purse is $60.
Those little doohickeys that hold a mug or any other doodad (oh my, what technical language!) to your belt. Assorted sizes and colors, in a figure-eight style, one loop riveted shut, one with a snap, $2.
So now our son wants to earn money, too. He's selling lightweight wooden drop spindles, for $2.50. And since you need something to spin, we have sample bags of sheep's wool, about one ounce, for 75 cents, and of alpaca, 2 ounces for $6, from Aurora Alpacas.
